FLORIDA SECRETARY of STATE LEE..WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?

On June 15, 2021 I emailed Sec. Lee after discovering that Florida uses the voting machine systems shown to have vulnerabilities in multiple states after the 2020 election which undermined the integrity of our elections.

Secretary Lee,

I hope this finds you doing well.

I recently discover that you have allowed Dominion an ES&S voting systems to remain in Florida.

To me, it makes absolutely no sense why systems that have been shown to have vulnerabilities and quite possibly, were involved in manipulation of election outcomes, would still be part of our voting system.

Would you please explain the following?

Have you conducted a “White Hat” hacking session for vulnerabilities? Especially in light of other states doing so and finding troubling issues. Congressional Democrats conducted a “White Hat”  in 2018 with Dominion and ES&S systems which proved that the machines were easily hacked? If not, why?

Were sample recounts done to guarantee number of register Fl voters = the number of legal votes? What about late registration and those that have moved, yet voted in the district where they no longer lived?

In plain language…What process is used to “certify” these machines for use in our 67 counties. How is the company chosen? What vetting is done of the company? How come “public notice” is not availed of TV and radio?

This is very concerning to myself and others.

My very best to you and yours,

Sincerely,

C. Hamilton Boone, P.A.

The reply..

Good afternoon,

Your message was forwarded to the Florida Division of Elections. We appreciate your input and the opportunity to respond to your email. The Florida Department of State and Division of Elections are committed to ensuring the integrity of Florida’s voter rolls and preventing election fraud.

Requirements for voting systems are set out in law. Every voting system used in Florida is tested and certified for use before any county can purchase and use the systems in an election. The State rigorously tests voting systems that includes, among other things, systems hardening for enhanced security, and complex equipment safeguards and data encryption along every step of the way. Additionally, before testing can begin, the vendor must send a “trusted build” (i.e., original software and firmware source) from a Voting System Testing Laboratory certified by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission. Moreover, the county performs a public pre-election Logic and Accuracy Test on machines before each election, and a public post-election certification voting system audit is done after every election, unless there was also a manual recount. These publicized events ensure that the systems are recording the votes accurately and the process is transparent.  For more information, please see the following references:

MY THOUGHTS..

True to form, the “canned” response written in bureaucratic language, purposefully revealed absolutely nothing. I enlisted Sen. Mayfield’s help to get more a definitive answer to my questions. Sadly, the Sec of State took 7 days to obfuscate the answers to my questions, because they had to “run them past legal “. Odd, that answers to questions that should be readily available, must have the blessing of the legal department in Secretary of State Lee’s office before seeing the light of day. Ending at the beginning, the questions remain unanswered. What are they hiding?

“..If you are a Florida voter constituent, you may also consider reaching out to your Supervisor of Elections to share your concerns.” That has been very telling.I have already contacted the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections(SOE) to arrange a meeting, but multiple emails have been ignored. See the Lori Scott article.

This is from Sen. Mayfield’s office. VERY TELLING..

We received this today from the Dept. of State regarding voting machines and their methods of ensuring security. According to them the voting systems used in Florida are not connected to the internet and therefore cannot be hacked into. They go in the attached document to explain more.

As many of my questions were left unanswered, I remain very suspicious of Secretary Lee and her response. Add this jewel to Secretary Lee’s responses..

You only have to consider the extremely close race between DeSantis and Gillum for Govenor to understand how critical the need is for a REAL and THROUGH PUBLIC VETTING. One such way to demonstrate this is by hacking of the machines. They must be tried “under fire’ in full view of the public for the Florida citizens to regain trust. These machines have been shown to be vulnerable in 5 out of 5 states reviewed.

These public trials must be noticed on TV, Radio, Print and Social Media.

In 2019, DefCon, the World Hackers conference, happened in Las Vegas.

What did they find..

..”almost all of the machines in the room were still used in elections across the United States, despite having well-known vulnerabilities that have been more or less ignored by the companies that sell them. Many had Internet connections, Hursti said, a weakness savvy attackers could abuse in several ways.”

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/bethbaumann/2020/12/15/new-report-says-dominion-voting-systems-has-a-remarkably-high-error-rate-n2581624

..”This pairing of a cellular modem with a digital scanner voting machine is the precise vulnerability that could allow hackers near and far to gain access to election results.”

The Sec. Lee’s document is lacking..

1- we all know how “accurate” a bureaucracy can and cannot be, whether it takes 7 days or 120 days.

Pre-election testing

One way to end the fear that Floridians have about corrupt governments and voting systems is to have the machines challenged by outside civilians, such as was done at DefCon meeting in their Voters Village.

They say,..“tests are noticed and open to the public”. I am very involved in the election process, having been a poll watcher and a pole worker. I have never seen nor heard of such a public notice. Something smells !!

Lori Scott..Why Do You Ignore Us?

Do you have a special place in your heart for “civil servants” that ignore you and others that pay their salary. I sure do.

I emailed Ms Scott June 12th about the voting machines and she cordially responded with the following:

Hi, Ham.
Thanks for reaching out.  Currently, ES&S and Dominion are the only two certified election equipment vendors in the state of Florida. Eighteen of Florida’s 67 counties use Dominion equipment, the other 49 counties use ES&S.  Brevard has used ES&S equipment since 2013.
Florida Supervisors are required to use equipment certified by the state.
Lori

I appreciated the brief explanation offered by Lori, but wanted a better grasp of the situation concerning voter integrity here in Brevard. I felt it imperative to meet with Lori , especially in light of Fl. Sec. Lee using only Dominion and ES&S voting systems in Florida, all the while being aware of the corruption we have seen with these machines in other states, not to mention the debacles in Palm Beach county and elsewhere in Florida.

As the Supervisor of Elections (SOE) for Brevard County, she has refused to answer my multiple follow up emails over the weeks requesting a meeting so I could better understand the safeguards for voting integrity here in our county.

Good morning Lori,

I hope you and your family are doing well. Thanks so much for getting back to me.

Anyway, I fully understand that you must follow the state’s dictates concerning machines, procedures, etc. I want to fully understand the process in our county.

May I please meet with you so I can have a clear understanding of what our county goes through before, during and after the election?

It would be greatly appreciated.

My best,

Ham

Follow-up emails of June 28th, July 4th, and July 13th stand unanswered.

Why?

This is no way to treat a Brevard resident that wants to be informed. Others have experienced Lori’s attitude towards Brevard residents and have been told without measure, that I will not hear from her.

Is it time for a change to someone that is responsive.
